Vigo-Cíes Isles Excursion
We suggest a full-day trip to the Cíes Islands, which are part of the Atlantic Islands Nature Park.
Naviera Mar de Ons. Port of Vigo or Cangas del Morrazo.
Since access to the isles is limited to a certain number of people, it is advisable to book in advance, especially in summer. If you are going by car, the best option is to park in the A Laxe shopping centre (near the port), due to the limited parking space in the area.
Another possibility is departing from Cangas del Morrazo, where there is free parking in the port area.
If you have time
Seafaring District of El Berbés/ Market of A Pedra
If you decide to depart from Vigo, and you have time, we recommend enjoying fresh oysters in the A Pedra market. Go for a stroll around the seafaring district of El Berbés.
The sea of the Atlantic Isles Nature Reserve.
It does not look like the Atlantic or the generalised idea that we have of the Galician coastline. Absolutely evocative fine white sand and turquoise crystal-clear water. You would think that you are in the Caribbean.

Trekking routes on the Cíes islands.
The colours, aromas and landscape of the island, in different panoramic views throughout the different trekking routes: Those of Alto del Príncipe, Monte Faro, Monte Agudo and that of the A Porta lighthouse will help you understand the island’s geography. The contrasts between the east and west coasts: one rugged, with cliffs rising up to 100 metres, the other featuring peaceful crystal-clear water. Excellent panoramic views of the entire nature reserve. An average duration of 2 and a half hours (try each route). Wear comfortable shoes.
Restaurants on the Cíes Isles
There are only 3 restaurants on the Cíes, all of which are easy to find. They sell sandwiches and portions, and are designed to cater for those visiting the island. You are advised to take along a picnic and eat in the shade of a nice tree. Please note that there are no wastepaper bins on the island, except at the jetty.
